Swaraj College of Commerce and Computer Studies conducted Research Methodology lectures, which proved to be highly beneficial for students. The sessions were designed to enhance students’ understanding of research fundamentals, proposal writing, data collection methods, and ethical practices in research.
As a result of these lectures:
- Students gained greater clarity on how to structure and approach their research work.
- Many students showed increased interest and confidence in participating in academic competitions.
- Notably, there was a rise in student participation in the Avishkar Competition, a platform that encourages innovative research and project presentation skills.
These initiatives not only support students in their academic growth but also prepare them for real-world research opportunities and higher education pathways like PhD admissions.
Avishkar is a state-level research competition started by the Government of Maharashtra to encourage students in research and innovation. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) takes part in this every year.
Swaraj College Commerce and Computer Studies actively participates in the Avishkar Research Competition organized by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The college encourages its students to engage in research activities and supports their participation in such competitions.
For instance, in the 2024–25 academic year, colleges affiliated with SPPU, including Swaraj College, took part in the zonal rounds of the Avishkar competition. These events provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative projects and research ideas.
