Earn-N-Learn Scheme
Earn-N-Learn Scheme
The Earn-N-Learn Scheme is a student-centric initiative designed to support financially challenged students by offering part-time work opportunities within the college campus. Swaraj College of Commerce and Computer Studies has adopted this scheme to help students earn while they learn, enabling them to contribute toward their educational expenses. The scheme allows students to take up simple, non-technical tasks such as assisting in the library, computer labs, administrative offices, event organization, and general campus upkeep. These tasks are scheduled in a way that does not disrupt their academic routine, usually requiring only a few hours of work each day. In return, students receive a modest stipend based on their working hours. Through this program, Swaraj College not only provides financial aid but also helps students build a sense of independence, discipline, and time management. The student welfare department oversees the scheme, and selection is typically based on the student’s financial background and academic record.

Swaraj College of Commerce and Computer Studies organized the Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan program, which is focused on empowering and ensuring the safety of female students. The main aim of this program is to build confidence, teach self-defense, and raise awareness about gender equality. The program is usually held in collaboration with universities and NGOs, such as Savitribai Phule Pune University, and offers various workshops. These workshops cover important topics like self-defense techniques, cyber safety, health and hygiene, and legal rights. During the program, students also have the chance to interact with police officers who teach them about personal safety, and legal experts who explain the laws that protect women’s rights. The program often includes inspiring talks from successful women achievers, who share their life stories and motivate students to believe in themselves and pursue their goals. These women help students understand the importance of being strong, independent, and standing up for themselves. The program also focuses on developing leadership skills and confidence. It encourages students to improve their public speaking abilities and learn to become leaders in their communities. By the end of the program, students are not only aware of how to protect themselves but also feel empowered to take on challenges and stand up for their rights in all areas of life.
